A regional healthcare network needed a unified patient portal for medical record access, appointment scheduling, and telehealth — all while meeting strict HIPAA compliance requirements and integrating with existing EHR systems.
We built a FHIR-compliant patient portal using React on the frontend and a Node.js API layer that integrates with EHR systems via HL7 FHIR R4. The platform runs on AWS with full encryption at rest and in transit, BAA agreements in place, and a SOC2 Type II audit trail baked into the architecture from day one.
